Mark Twain wrote a book called 'Advice to Little Girls' that told girls to think for themselves!

Mark Twain is most famous for writing The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, but all of his books had been published in America - or so we thought.
It wasn't until a small publishing company discovered a children's book written, and illustrated by Mark Twain that scholars began to question if we really had all of Twain's writings on record.
The book was written in 1865, and has been pretty much unknown of until recently. The book was incredibly ahead of it's time, as it is teaching girls to mischievously think for themselves than to just blindly obey what is socially acceptable!
For Mark Twain to tell small girls to think for themselves, rather than to just obey what people tell them to do, in a time where women weren't considered people is amazing! For snippets of the book, click the source!
